RE: Black Butler
I saw bits and pieces of the first season and from the looks of it, it's a continuation. Sebastian returns and it was hinting the resurrection of Ciel. Funimation is simucasting the show on youtube. I'm waiting for TVB's Cantonese dub which I hear will air in a couple of weeks.

RE: Black Butler
Geoffrey returned to England and retired ever since he left the Banks residence. No more story for him!

RE: Black Butler
Black Butler is kuroshitsuji in Japanese.... unless Geoffrey's got some JAPANESE in him =D

They've got lots of interesting and cool characters. The concept behind it is the detective novel of the Victorian era. There are a lot of kick ass characters tropes, the femme fatale, the undertaker, the puppeteer, etc...

I really enjoy the mysteries of spontaneous combustion, jack the ripper being solved by the duo of Sebastian Michaelis and Ciel Phantomhive. The Phantomhive families are the Queen's watchdogs, they solve crimes the Scotland Yard has lost control of~!

There's nothing really Japanese about kuroshitsuji except for Mr. Tanaka who seems to have the ability to deflate and inflate at times in need. And what happened to Lau, the opium dealer, in the first season again? Been a while since I saw the first season.

RE: Black Butler
but.....the Japanese never had a Victorian era....unless we're just speaking in generalities of the 1800s (Victorian era) in Japan?

Oh you silly man! THE WHOLE STORY takes place in England. It is an anime about aristocratic British nobles solving horrible mysteries =P
