This sequel continues where the first film left off with Ip Man and family settling down in Hong Kong. Ip Man had been trying to start a Wing Chun school this time but with Wing Chun being unknown in HK, it was hard for him to accept any disciples. Well, I don't want to spoil too much so I'm not gonna bother summarizing.
Anyway, this sequel starts off great and had some pretty good character development particularly with his disciple Wong Leung (played by Huang Xiao-Ming) but then the second half of the film really bombs as it seems to resemble "Rocky IV" (assuming that is the sequel where Rocky's buddy Apollo Creed dies). Well, same shit happens here. Overall, not a complete stinker but don't expect it to be as great as the first film. I'd probably give it a seven out of ten.
