I worked part time at two wedding conventions recently, and I don't if we're at the age to consider marriage yet, but I thought it'd be nice to give you guys some ideas of what it's like to be at a wedding convention.
Who goes to wedding conventions?: Couples do: whether they are getting married 2 years later or more, just looking to see what is out there cake wise and more,
women do: looking for a wedding dress, and her half of the to do list for the wedding, since cakes, wedding planners, flower girl dresses, and wedding dress vendors are all in one spot for 2-3 days worth of convention.
Men do: looking for the perfect cake, the right suit (and oddly enough, converse shoes to match... though i don't know if this is a recent trend), venues, music, photographers
well basically here's the site for the first convention, and the more festive one of the two I worked at, that happened near new years:

I worked for Ellis Bridal Digital Studio & Design
http://www.ellisbridal.ca
location: 2201 Brimley Rd, Unit 4 (N of Sheppard) Scarborough Ontario M1S 4N7
telephone: 416 291-2108
They had an inventory clear out, so dresses were anywhere from 40-80% off. Their booth consisted of almost all women staff selling and moving dresses about. But, the wedding show itself was located in a place practically further north (?) of Anime North, and closer to the airport. It was an amazingly fun experience because of the amount of people there, but most of all, because of all the booths.
what you will see:
There were countless cake booths. I mean, they had those many tiered cakes and samples. SO MANY SAMPLES. I think that even if none of you are planning to get married any time soon, but consider it someday with that special someone... Don't be afraid to go to a wedding convention. THE CAKE is WORTH IT.
I'm considering the audience of guys here, since I recognize that not that many women still come to this forum. I mean who cares about wedding magazines, mermaid style dresses by Sophia and Camilla fashion designers, or the wonderful guest gifts you can leave per table. Examples including glass cupcakes made by uniqueweddingglass.com or available at http://www.AndreaRipley.com ....
The point is to ENJOY yourself, especially at delicious chocolate fountains of white chocolate and black.
The Canadian Wedding Show http://www.canadasbridalshow.com
is located in a similar location as the previously mentioned wedding show. There are less people, because it happens later on in January. If you prefer more quiet time to walk about and look about while keeping what you still need to plan out in mind. There are make up artists, ice sculptures, and what not to be amazed at too...
Really whether you're getting married soon (or not at all..) it's still a fun place to go!! Though i don't know when the next one is happening...
Has anyone else been to any wedding shows?

They had photos of weddings taking place there, and they were so classically elegant, part of the childhood me went giddy with the idea of getting married in a Victorian styled hall. I mean, it's only been a 70-200 years ago..
